I am an alumna of the Canadian Film Centre (CFC) Writers' Lab, 

Women in the Director's Chair program,  Reelworld Series Lab,

NSI EAVE Producers Lab,  Whistler Screenwriters' Lab, and

 the 2026 Netflix Diversity of Voices (DOV) Elevate program.

 

I'm honored to be named Best Fresh Voice at the 

Female Eye Film Festival and am grateful to have received

a WGC Award for Best Documentary Script for the

NFB produced feature,  In The Room.

​I've honed my fiction and non-fiction storytelling skills through

film production and screenwriting at New York University and

the Iranian Young Cinema Society.

 

This creative education is complemented by research and legal

knowledge gained through a diploma in journalism, and further

supported by a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from

Simon Fraser University.
