I've honed my fiction and nonfiction storytelling skills through film production and screenwriting at New York University (NYU) and the Iranian Young Cinema Society.

This creative education is complemented by research and legal knowledge gained through a diploma in journalism, further supported by a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Simon Fraser University and an MFA in Creative Writing from UBC.

I am an alumna of the Canadian Film Centre (CFC) Writers' Lab, Women in the Director's Chair program, Reelworld Series Lab, NSI EAVE Producers Lab, Whistler Screenwriters' Lab, and the 2026 Netflix (DOV) Elevate program.

I'm honoured to have been named Best Fresh Voice at the Female Eye Film Festival, and I'm grateful to have received the 2026 Writers Guild of Canada (WGC) Award for Best Documentary Script for the NFB-produced feature

In The Room.
